Peeling Back the Onion - The Right Fat Loss Plans

There are a lot of fat loss plans out there promising fantastic results for little to no effort on your part. Think of the rule that usually when you are offered something for nothing and it sounds way too good to be true, it is? Well, the sad fact is that the vast majority of these instant fat loss plans are, in fact, too good to be true. Plans almost never allow you to lose the weight as promised in the ad, some only causing your body to lose "water weight" which always comes back quickly, some plans are outrageously dangerous to your health and should not be on the market.

Many of the commercials you see on late night TV with before and after models use a dirty trick no one wants to tell you about- they contract people who are genetically skinny and who have been skinny for most of their lives but recently gained a large amount of weight due to pregnancy or illness. These people pose for the ‘before’ picture, then whether they use the advertised system or not, because they are genetically predisposed to losing that weight easily, within a few months they are able to take their ‘after’ picture and get paid. Another advertising trick is to find thin people who were more fat in the past, use an old photo from 'way back when' and use it as the ‘before’ picture. Always be on the lookout for dated sweaters to spot the cheater.

Certain fat loss plans boast to be able to create the body you desire by simply by taking a few pills a day, no changes to your daily routine are required. Look, snake oil salesmen did not die off after the Victorian era, they just discovered better video editing techniques. Any system that promises you weight loss for no work is either lying or dangerous and either way you should steer clear.

True fat loss plans are holistic things. Incorporate changes in your diet, exercise, even in your daily routine as well as trying to have a positive view of your body. Permanent weight loss is hard work and you have to be willing to eliminate the things that are keping your body fat. Every additional calorie you burn during the day added to the junk food calories you can cut out will combine and equal to burning fat.

The real key to losing weight is the ability to identify the parts of your life that are making you fat and to find healthy alternatives. If you are sedentary, find an excuse to move. If you are a fast food junkie, consider homemade alternatives actually have taste, are less expensive, and are better for your overall health. If you cannot live without your soda, experiment with making your own soft drinks or finding a brand that uses less refined sugar. These are just a few examples, but what the most effective fat loss plans really offer is pure common sense. The great benefit of a plan is that it gives you guidelines to follow and directs you to do things the right way.
